Installation Policy
This Installation Policy ("Policy") sets forth the terms and conditions governing the site assessment, installation, configuration, and related services provided by Bolt.Earth ("Company") in connection with the purchase of its EV charging equipment ("Charger").
Free Site Assessment
- The Company shall provide a complimentary, one-time site assessment to customers who have purchased a Charger.
- The site assessment shall be conducted by a duly certified technician for the purpose of:
- Evaluating installation feasibility;
- Assessing electrical and infrastructure requirements; and
- Inspecting the proposed installation location.
- Following completion of the assessment, the Company shall prepare and share a Bill of Quantities ("BoQ"), which shall include:
- Scope of installation work;
- Additional materials required beyond the standard Charger package; and
- Associated costs for such materials and services.
- The site assessment and preparation of the BoQ shall be provided free of charge.
Professional Installation
- Installation services shall be undertaken only upon the customer's written approval of the BoQ and associated costs.
- The Company shall assign a certified technician to perform installation at a mutually agreed location, date, and time.
- Applicability of Free Installation: Free installation is offered only on select charger models and product bundles where explicitly stated on the product page, in promotional materials, or at the time of purchase. For all other products, installation services are chargeable and will be quoted separately in the BoQ.
- For all other Charger models, installation services shall be chargeable as per the BoQ approved by the customer.
- All installation work shall be carried out in accordance with:
- Applicable laws and electrical regulations;
- Prescribed safety standards; and
- Industry best practices.
- The Company reserves the right to refuse or suspend installation where:
- Site conditions are unsafe;
- The electrical infrastructure is non-compliant; or
- The location is otherwise deemed unsuitable.
- In such cases, the Company shall notify the customer, along with reasons, and may recommend corrective measures.
Charger Mounting and Setup
- The technician shall securely mount the Charger on a wall or other suitable surface, subject to structural adequacy.
- The final mounting location shall be determined by the technician based on safety, accessibility, and operational efficiency considerations.
- The Company shall not be responsible for structural deficiencies in the mounting surface.
Electrical Integration
- The Charger shall be connected to the customer's electrical electrical supply through appropriate routing from the main distribution board or designated electrical point.
- Material Scope and Additional Costs:
- The standard package includes only those components expressly specified in the product description.
- Any additional materials required, including but not limited to cables, conduits, MCBs, connectors, mounting hardware, or civil work, shall be identified in the BoQ.
- Additional wiring beyond the standard included length shall be chargeable and itemized in the BoQ.
- No additional work shall be undertaken without the customer's prior written approval of the BoQ.
- The customer shall ensure that the existing electrical infrastructure:
- Is adequate for Charger installation; and
- Complies with applicable laws and standards.
- The Company shall not be liable for any defects, failures, or damages arising from pre-existing electrical infrastructure.
Account Setup and Activation
- The Company shall configure and activate the Charger on its designated platform.
- The technician shall create or link the customer's account to enable operation, monitoring, and management of the Charger.
Mobile Application Setup and Demonstration
- The Company may, upon the customer's request at the time of installation, assist with:
- Installation of the Company's mobile application;
- Linking the Charger to the customer account; and
- Demonstrating key features and functionalities.
- In the absence of such a request, the customer shall be responsible for completing the mobile application setup independently, in accordance with the instructions provided by the Company.
Operational Training
- The Company may provide a brief training session, upon customer request, covering:
- Operation of the Charger;
- Use of the mobile application;
- Basic troubleshooting procedures; and
- Safety precautions and best practices.
Exclusions (Materials and Services Not Included)
- The following items and services are not included in the standard installation and shall be chargeable:
- Additional cabling beyond standard length;
- Electrical upgrades (including panel enhancements, earthing improvements, etc.);
- Civil or structural work (including trenching, drilling, reinforcement, etc.);
- Government permits, approvals, or inspection fees;
- Relocation or dismantling of existing equipment; and
- Any other materials or services not expressly included in the BoQ.
- All additional costs shall be documented in the BoQ and must be approved in writing by the customer prior to the commencement of work.
Scheduling and Rescheduling
- Customers may schedule services through the Company's support channels.
- The Company shall coordinate with the customer to fix a mutually convenient date and time.
- Any request for rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance, failing which a reasonable rescheduling fee may be levied.
- The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to force majeure events, adverse weather conditions, or customer unavailability.
Customer Obligations
- The customer shall:
- Provide safe and unobstructed access to the installation site;
- Ensure presence of an authorized representative during assessment and installation;
- Obtain all necessary permissions from property owners, housing societies, or authorities;
- Disclose any known site constraints or electrical issues in advance.
- The Company shall not be responsible for delays or additional costs arising due to the customer's failure to comply with the above obligations.
Warranty and Limitation of Liability
- The Company shall not be liable for:
- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or unauthorized modification;
- Faults arising from third-party interference;
- Failures attributable to the customer's electrical infrastructure; or
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, revenue, or profits.
- The Company's liability, if any, shall be limited to the extent permitted under applicable law.

Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling, approving, or availing installation services, the customer is deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.
The Company reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. The version in force at the time of service scheduling shall apply.
